Entry #1 05.11.118 AQPosted on January 12, 2008 @ 12:05AM 10:00 hours Location: Arcangel The first official entry in my new datapak. I’m embarking on a journey I’ve been preparing for the past 18 years. My future is a thick fog in the blue sky with my shining destiny in tow. As usual I arrived two hours early at Emerson Station to beat the congestion at the access terminals for arriving and departing flights. Today was an exception. Emerson Control grounded all transports due to a Black Guard attack on a 1520 MMZ transport heading to Tosadae. The Vyberfeed on my datapak informed me that a student had luckily saved the transport from complete annihilation. “That guy must have worn all his lucky clothes”, I thought. My ship, the Arcangel, was cleared for take off since my uncle is the head of Emerson Station. He knows I can take care of myself, especially with the rest of my team on board. Arcangel is a Schwinn Interceptor-class Series 2 military craft. It was used during the Mutant Wars as a frontline vessel with hit and run capabilities. After the Mutant Wars, Interceptors were decommissioned and sent to various shipyards for metal recycling. My father managed to acquire an Interceptor a decade ago off the Sine Market* for use as a support vessel against wild splicer attacks. You need everything you can get your hands on to survive in the Outback. It’s one of the most dangerous places in all of Atlanitia. Arcangel deceptively appears as an unarmed civilian shuttle, but it is fitted with a hidden armament of DT phasers, cannons, missiles, and other surprises. It took me a year and a half to upgrade the ship and its systems. I recently upgraded the engines and shields with the best the Sine Market had to offer. As I waited for the rest of the SFC, I prepped Arcangel for take off. The SFC or Sci-Fi Club, as we’re known in school, is comprised of Haversack, Fel, Ghost, Fox, Merf, and Amy. Our names are nicks, nicknames, which we use in combat and now everyday life. We grew up as neighbors in the Outback and became an inseparable group of friends who all share the same interests: music, dancing, martial arts, paintball, reading, and others. It’s a very long list. In school, we use the Sci-Fi Club since we’re a geeky bunch of nerds who surf the Vybernet all day searching for old science fiction and fantasy shows. Officially, our name is the Strike Force. We had to add on the ‘C’ because Fel and Merf used to introduce us as the Stunning Fat Chicks in the first few months of our group decision to form an Outland defensive unit to fight against wild splicers. Fel and Merf always used to say “Once the splicers see us, they’ll run cause they don’t want to be splicer pancakes for our next meal!” I hated those first few months… Amy would say “We’re the Society of Seven.” I’m not sure where the name came from…most likely off the old Entertainment Vyberfeeds. She’s into that stuff. Ah…I need to transfer their profiles from my computer to this datapak. I’d better eat my lunch and then update. It’s almost time to leave! *Old World’s Black Market |
“Pratering” for change:THE SONG: Total World Peace by 2012 – say it, think it, feel it, believe it every day at 12PM PST and it will be. Do it! “Pratering – a single, focused thought supported by love, organized on a mass level, to occur at a specific time with the intention to create a shift in consciousness and manifest a result into reality. We are the heroes we have been waiting for. The Quest begins now.”
