My Gift To The Future

Posted on September 09, 2007 @ 05:32PM

I have begun the process of recording things I hope will help after I am gone.

Vids of myself to each person in our extended family, with emphasis on using the right, powerful words which will influence them to realize their direction and potential.

My visionistic arts training sessions, humble as they are, have gone well in the lives of our young ones. I’m hoping one will stand out as a gifted teacher to continue this.

The physical training everyone enjoys so much is no problem. What an active and athletic family!

But as I have grown old and frail, I look back at the girl I was, the woman I became, the earnest mother, grandmother, and now, oldest and approaching the end. I recall an ancient poem. It reminds me of the men I’ve loved, and the man who loved me:

“WHEN you are old and gray and full of sleep And nodding by the fire, take down this book, And slowly read, and dream of the soft look Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

How many loved your moments of glad grace, And loved your beauty with love false or true; But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you, And loved the sorrows of your changing face.”

Thank God for Love!
