The Bomb Aftermath

Posted on October 23, 2008 @ 06:20AM

The aftermath of the tournament bombing has left a lot of people confused. We got word from the organizes that the Tournament is canceled until further notice. I guess they mean until the catch the person or people who did it.

Miro was pretty shaken up, and I’m kind of worried for her, because she’s going to have to go through questioning by the Tosadae Security people all over again, and so soon after her last encounter. I let her know that I’d be here for her if she needed to talk to someone, and she said she’d catch up with me as soon as she’s done talking to the security people. Nkiru has to go with her as well, so I guess that’ll help Miro feel better.

Kam, was pretty annoyed and I’m surprised that it isn’t because he didn’t get to complete his part in the tournament. Kam is more annoyed that someone would use him to endanger the lives of hundreds of people. I’m ashamed to admit that Kam’s difficulties lately made me forget his fundamentally best trait. He cares about others over himself. The whole reason he threw himself into the training in for the tournament so zealously was because he didn’t know how to help Havel through her fears for her family. Kam is hoping the culprits are found quickly, and said that if there’s a trial, he’d in to testify, and put those jicks away for a good long while. One upside of this is that Kam has earned praise quite a bit of praise for landing the FX-80 safely, so no one got hurt.

Me? Well for starters, I’m happy that everyone is safe, but I’m also kind of relieved for another reason. I haven’t really mentioned it, but the intensity of the training and the pressure of the tournament were starting to get to me. Sure, I had a blast with Kam and everything, but I’m in no hurry to hit the sims again. The pressure is off for now, and I’d be happy just to hit the sims for a few hours a week, instead of logging time in them every day. I think I’m going to try and convince Kam to do the same. I kind of miss just hanging out at the Nax.
