It would seem that they folks at MIT are bringing a bit of TVQ to fruition. Sounding almost like a miniturized version of The Matrix, Professors Angela Belcher, Paula Hammond and Yet-Ming Chiang of MIT have created a battery that uses a genetically modified virus and red abolone to make a battery that will vary in size from a grain of rice to as big as a hearing aid battery. The whole concept is an interesting read. I just hope that the equipment powered by this new battery doesn’t get the flu. :) |
